Today I had the pleasure of writing a guest blog post for Search Engine Journal. The subject is actually guest blogging for Search Engine Optimization purposes. That being said, it also focuses on good writing practices, so even if you don’t know what the heck search engine optimization is, you may still find a few take-aways. Likewise, if you want to know more about search engine optimization, this is most definitely the place to do so, as Search Engine Journal is highly regarded.
Thank you to Search Engine Journal for inviting me into your domain. Thank you to Slingshot SEO for the introduction.

Jody Sparks Mugele spent her first career in marketing writing and leading teams of writers and editors. After her son came out as transgender in 2015, she dedicated herself to advocating for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. For two years, she led the Indianapolis regional chapter of PFLAG, a nationally renowned LGBTQ+ advocacy group. She has given many conference talks about parenting trans kids, healthcare in the trans community, and suicidality among LGBTQ+ youth. And with GenderNexus, an Indianapolis-based advocacy organization, she created programming and led support groups to work with parents to help their children through all aspects of gender transition. She recently moved to Northeast Georgia where she is excited to develop opportunities to continue to strongly and proudly advocate for LGBTQ+ members of our society. She also LOVES kitschy Christmas crafting!

I’ll have to study this some more since I know nothing about SEO. By the way, I think your twitter handle is spelled wrong on that website!
Val, I know! I told my contact there to please fix it. Two days later…anyway, it was a really nice opportunity.
Great post Jody. I didn’t realize you do guest blog posts as part of yur job.
Thanks, Natalie. Now and then. I enjoy it! 🙂
