Remember last year in March when Josh matched for residency and I said that it felt more like the new year than January? It kind of feels that way again this year.

In March we start getting ready for June and begin really planning our year. What to do with the kids in the Summer? Will we go Up North? There will be picnic after picnic to meet all the new residents at IU. Thank you to the universe that intern year for Josh is almost over! There is a lightness about that, which I welcome in with the most open of arms!

Last week I finished a draft of my young adult novel that will actually go out soon.

I got a promotion at work that puts “Editor” in my title. You guys, I actually get to work on writing and content like for a salary.

There are versions of “new” all around me and it’s time to jump into the year.

I know my blog has been sparse lately. I’ve been doing a few guest posts as well as inviting visitors, as well. To my readers: if you’d like to write for my blog, let me know. Or, if there’s  topic you want me to touch on, let me know.

And my reading isn’t going well. I’ve started two books I haven’t bothered to finish, which is just weird. I RARELY put a book down. It’s like I don’t know what I’m in the mood for. Kind of everything and kind of nothing. I’m not satisfied with anything. What do you do when that happens? What should I read?
